Rich is a 23 year veteran of the financial services industry. Rich has been with Wells Fargo Advisors for most of his career. He is currently a Regional President in the firm's Private Client Group. A graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Rich was born and raised in Philadelphia. He currently resides in Warren, NJ with his wife and three children.
Frank A. Liporace, MD
Dr. Liporace was born and raised in the New York City area. He attended the State University of New York at Binghamton for his undergraduate degree and then continued on to New York Medical College for his medical degree. After this, he completed the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at The Hospital for Joint Diseases / New York University in New York, NY. He then completed an orthopedic traumatology fellowship at Tampa General Hospital and the Florida Orthopedic Institute's Orthopedic Trauma and Reconstructive Service. His interests include interests include Pelvic and Acetabular Surgery, Complex Orthopaedic Trauma Reconstruction, Hip and Knee Reconstruction, and treating complications associated with Orthopaedic Trauma, Joint Replacements, and Orthopaedic Infections. For over a decade he has been clinically active and teaching residents and students. He has won numerous teaching awards within his institution and nationally.
He is currently Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma & Reconstruction at Jersey City Medical Center. He is also Director of the Orthopaedic Institute at Jersey Medical Center. Additionally, he is the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma Research at New York University / Hospital for Joint Diseases.
Dr. Liporace has made multiple scientific presentations nationally and internationally and has over 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals and over a dozen chapters in Orthopaedic textbooks. He has done over 300 invited lectures pertaining to Orthopaedic Trauma and Joint Reconstruction worldwide. He is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma as well as Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. As well, he is a designer of Orthopaedic Implants that are currently used around the world.
He is also the editor for the Lower Extremity section of Orthopaedic Knowledge Update 11 which is used around the world as one of the standards for information for Orthopaedic Surgeons. As well, Dr. Liporace has served on Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement related committees to ensure the optimal care of patients.
Michael P. McCarthy
Michael shares his extensive strategic sales and marketing experience with Flagship Surgical, which he has gained from his tenure at J&J Orthopedics serving in various executive corporate management capacities, and from developing a successful medical device distributorship. Through his direct interaction with sales representatives, physicians and hospital administrators, he has successfully introduced numerous medical device technologies and innovative products to the global healthcare marketplace.
Currently Michael serves as a Managing Partner at Acuitive Technologies, Inc. a medical device incubator/accelerator. Mr. McCarthy received his BS in Business Administration from Villanova University.
Alexander Richard Vaccaro, M.D., PhD, MBA
Dr. Vaccaro graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston College in 1983 with a B.S. in Biology. He received his M.D. degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine where he was promoted with “Distinction” He earned membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society and graduated with honors in 1987. He completed a year of Surgical Internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency was at Thomas Jefferson University where he graduated in 1992. Dr. Vaccaro completed a Spine Fellowship at the University of San Diego, CA. He earned a PhD in 2007 in the field of Spinal Trauma and an MBA at the Fox school of business at Temple University in Philadelphia in 2015 where he received the Dean’s certificate of excellence.
Dr. Vaccaro is the Richard H. Rothman Professor and Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery and Professor of Neurosurgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the recipient of the Leon Wiltse award given for excellence in leadership and clinical research for spine care by the North American Spine Society (NASS) and is the past President of the American Spinal Injury Association and current President of the Association for Collaborative Spine Research
He has over 610 peer reviewed and 200 non-peer reviewed publications. He has published over 330 book chapters and is the editor of over 46 textbooks and co-editor of OKU-Spine I and editor of OKU-8. Dr. Vaccaro is the Co-Director of the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley andCo-Chief of Spine Surgery and the Spine Fellowship program at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University where he instructs current fellows and residents in the diagnosis and treatment of various spinal problems and disorders.
